Small Blessings

It's always nice to get support from unexpected places, like coworkers.  Never in my life have I met a group of people so concerned about my well being and so extremely helpful than now.  I'm so grateful.  I just got a phone call from my new supervisor and she was just genuinely concerned about how I was settling in and how I was getting around a new city with no car.  I admit to taking the bus and she immediately offered to help me by giving me a ride to and from work when needed.  She even offered to help me get some food in the kitchen!!  I mean, I was nearly in tears because of the overwhelming kindness.  It's says a lot about our culture when a stranger offering me help with things I may need can bring me to tears.
