Wow, haven't done one of these in a while, partly because I haven't been reading anything great (unless you count the countless forced reading assignments) needless to say, when I get a chance to read something NOT academic, I need it to be as VAPID and POINTLESS as possible, so that I can quickly get to the end and on with my next assignment. The Fancy by Mercedes Keyes fit the bill perfectly. It combined my two of my favorite things (Neo-Victorian and interracial romance novel) and kept me happy throughout. It was actually better than some of the books I've been reading in that I actually felt something for the characters.
